There is no doubt about it, when the Loyd Family arrives, they lay down real groove with a thick mix of rhythms from all over the world that is also distinctly Oakland, CA. Using a subsonic fleet of surdos and machine gun snare drums, the Loyd Family Players draw from a vast history of rhythms and showcase them in a style that has come to be their very own. The Loyd Family Players will return this year as High Sierra’s house parade band.
