"And here's to you Mrs. Robinson..."
The Black Crowes and High Sierra share something in common this year. We're both celebrating 20 years of bringing great music and good times to music lovers near and far. Twenty years ago Rolling Stone voted The Black Crowes, "Best New American Band". Since then these soulful blues rockers from Atlanta, GA led by Chris (vocals) and Rich (guitar) Robinson have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in rock'n'roll in Robert Plant, Tom Petty and The Grateful Dead. They've sold over 20 Million albums to date and in 2007 while recording Warpaint, recruited North Mississippi All-Stars' lead guitarist Luther Dickinson who became a permanent fixture with the band later that year -- and they've never sounded better. Chris Robinson performed at High Sierra in 2004 as Chris Robinson & The New Earth Mud and word was that he really liked the overall vibe of the festival so we're thrilled to have him back to be able to toast to twenty years. The Black Crowes will headline Saturday night, July 3rd.
