"Intergalactic instrumental funk"
These acclaimed UK funksters have grown leaps and bounds since
their early days as a boogaloo band back in Leeds just over
ten years ago. They've proven their merit on these shores
with steady tours including three past appearances at High
Sierra and have spent some quality time in New Orleans, the
city they draw their main inspiration from. Their classic
instrumental sound harkens back to the late 60's rare groove
and early jazz funk territories (with a heavy nod to The Meters)
which has been very appealing to record collectors and dj's
but they also have a freshness to their sound that keeps them
in step with the modern day. Besides since when has funk this
good ever gone out of style?
