He’s also toured as a percussionist with Ani DiFranco. Mike Dillon calls New Orleans his home now when he isn’t on the road. After 25 years of constant touring, vibraphonist/tabla player/percussionist extraordinaire Mike Dillon has started yet another project. This outfit has learned over three hours of music that the percussionist has played at various points of his career. No matter If the band is playing an old school flavored hip hop jam "Bullsnake" from the Billy Goat days or "Omar" from the latest Garage A Trois record, music lovers attending the show will be compelled to get dancing as the amazing Carly Meyers blows minds with her energetic trombone mastery! Drummer Radom G, beats his drums with the fury of a young punk rock drummer yet has the finesse of a funk drummer due to years of study with Galactic’s Stanton Moore. Bru Brusser from Government Majik holds down the low-end landscape. The Mike Dillon band is brand spanking new and has already began turning heads. Surely their repertoire will increase exponentially as they will bring to light some unreleased songs from the prolific songwriters hard drive.
