Even if you don’t know Maceo Parker by name, you know his music. He’s the one blowing the funky saxophone phrases on most any James Brown hit song you can think of. His signature style made him the lynchpin of the Godfather Of Soul’s groundbreaking brand of funk for the best part of two decades. Maceo also jumped aboard the Mothership with George Clinton and P-Funk and stretched Bootsy’s Rubber Band before stepping out to front his own band in 1991. Twenty years later he’s still doing it, and doing it right… Maceo’s the living, breathing pulse which connects the history of Funk in one golden thread -- the cipher which unravels dance music down to its core. Get on up! - Dave Todoroff
