Lotus is a five-piece instrumental, electronic jam band that creates convincingly danceable soundscapes in an arsenal of styles and tempos. Never a group to be pigeonholed, Lotus' sound (guitar, bass/sampler, keyboards, drums and percussion) can move from downtempo groove and dubstep to dynamic, improvisational groove rock or heavier compositions with equal acuity. This fluidity of sound showcases their ability to react spontaneously to a crowd and the atmosphere of the moment, which results in a locked-in live connection between band and audience. Their seamless mixes, pulsing beats and interlocking, dance-inducing rhythms play like a dj but with a human touch. This will be Lotus’ fourth High Sierra appearance.
