The players in Garage A Trois are certainly familiar to High Sierra faithful. Drummer Stanton Moore of Galactic, omnipresent saxophonist Skerik, percussion/vibraphonist Mike Dillon and keyboardist Marco Benevento (who took Charlie Hunter’s place in the group in 2009) comprise this freewheeling and wildly eclectic quartet. Each player is a bona fide monster in his respective corner and each trade off setting the pace or leading the charge depending upon what mood is called for. GAT can range from being dark, noisy and sinister, or ambient, dreamy and soft to rockin or grooving in a solid pocket. The name of their most recent album kind of sums it up…Always Be Happy, But Stay Evil. Good heavens, lock up the younguns… here comes Garage A Trois!
